Welcome to Chamayamkara Temple

picReligiously, a temple is a place for energising and purifying one's soul.The Chamayamkara Devi Temple, based on hindu mythology have Badrakali as the main diety and eleven Subordinate dieties.The name Badra means ' The power capable to make everything safe'.The surroundings of the temple consists of separate places for the Upadevathas,The thidappally and the Jyothishalayam.The main offering of the temple is ' karyasidhipooja ' which is being held during first sunday of all English months. On the same day itself devotees also offer 'Amruthabhojanam'.

The place Thiruvanchoor was famous with the names of Thiruvachoor Devi Temple,Chamayamkara Devi Temple and Narimattom Devi Temple.Adhiparasakthi has different forms such as parvathy,Lakshmi,Saraswathy, Badra,Durgga and Annapooneswari.Among these ,Badra exists in the motherliness form.It is believed that Sri.
